I am going to base my teaching on Algeraic Thinking which is one of the Standards in the Sunshine State Standards. Four
Concepts of Algeraic Thinking are:
* Expressions: An expression combines numbers, operators, and/or free variables and bound variables
* Equations: A statement asserting the equality of two expressions, usually written as a linear array of symbols that
are separated into left and right sides and joined by an equal sign.
* Inequalities:An algebraic relation showing that a quantity is greater than or less than another quantity.
* Graphs:The plot of the points in the plane which constitute the graph of a given real function or a pictorial diagram
depicting interdependence of variables
